Penzance LitFest

Penzance-Literary-Festival-2013_largeTickets for Penzance LitFest events are now on sale! This includes our West Cornwall DFAS-sponsored Study Morning by Catherine Wallace titled Poems, Plays and Fairytales.

The Study Morning coincides with the  upcoming exhibition of the same name at Penlee House Gallery & Museum, which focuses on literary-inspired works by such Newlyn artists as Elizabeth Forbes, Thomas Cooper Gotch, Henry Meynell Rheam and William Wainwright. Catherine Wallace, who is co-curator of the exhibition, is a NADFAS lecturer as well as a freelance art writer, curator and fundraiser. She is the former manager of Falmouth Art Gallery and is an authority of the art of Henry Scott Tuke, writing catalogue entries for both Bonhams and Christies on his work.

The Study Morning begins at 10:00am on Saturday 20 July for a quick tour of the exhibition led by Catherine, followed by a talk in the Penlee Coach House. Cost for the morning is £15 which includes coffee/tea.

The Penlee Poems, Plays and Fairytales exhibition begins on 15 June and runs through  7 September.
